Destruction handled in Man of Steel =/= destruction handled in Pacific Rim Frank. The latter acknowledges there is loss, while the former just seems to just think of it as just not important.
Plus considering parts of Pacific Rim involve giants fighting on land (When they intended to handle it on the ocean) it’s hard to avoid loss.
The amount of deaths in Pacific Rim were a lot more than Man of Steel, considering the giant monsters had been killing people for a couple years. Stop with the acknowledge the loss bullshit, it wasn’t unimportant in Man of Steel. And considering you have superpowered aliens fighting in a world that’s like cardboard to them, the few deaths that happened compared to pacific rim are understandable. Stop and think before you make such ridiculous accusations, it makes you look stupid.
I would take more seriously your opinion if you didn’t resort to calling me stupid and that whole “no acknowledgement of loss” thing as bullshit. For some people it really bothers them that Man of Steel makes light of mass destruction, that isn’t bullshit, it’s because the filmmakers were going for spectacle not really thinking of what implications (Mainly allusions to 9/11) they are making. Don’t tell me that the people who were bothered are stupid as well.
Pacific Rim much higher implied body count obviously but hardly the same type of film as Man of Steel. Rim is about fighting titans with titans homaging a genre that usually is about destruction, . In some ways a movie about Superman shouldn’t put people in mind of mass graves being made, Supes in the comics would have tried mainly to avoid that situation. That is not bullshit.
Lol and if you actually thought before you made such a stupid comment I might respect it. They didn’t make light of the destruction what the hell are you even talking about. They aren’t making any allusions to 9/11 seriously this is bullshit. Did people bitch this much when there was mass destruction in the avengers? Yes it is bullshit please tell me how an inexperienced Superman could have stopped a unit of trained soldiers who just as strong as him from trying to terraform a planet while also beating the crap out of him? In case you didn’t know or somehow forgot when superman fight powerful enemies there is usually a lot of destruction. Hell him and Doomsday caused a massive amount in the comics. People bitching about the destruction in man of steel are ridiculous and make no sense, like this is the first movie ever to have buildings being destroyed or people dying and yet it’s somehow a bad thing in this movie when it’s been done in countless other movies. Yet it somehow should have been avoided because it’s Superman. Superman who is the only one capable of fighting the kryptonians and who is also fighting alone and for the first time in his life. It’s bullshit and the people who complain about that are ridiculous.
"Not making any allusions to 9/11", building destruction causing massive amount of dust in the air and people running, and people covered in that dust. Yeah, no allusions what so ever.
And The Avengers tried to contain the destruction, Superman didn’t make an effort. As far as Doomsday you really have to understand what led to that point, where it didn’t seem much of a choice for Superman to avoid destruction. There was no such lead up with the battle of Zod.
If you are not going to handle this conversation maturely without resorting to vulgarity I am not going to respond to you anymore.
Yeah that’s what happens when buildings are destroyed and fall down I’m not sure if you know that. The avengers, a team of 6 working together while Superman was by himself. Yeah that makes sense Superman totally had time to go grab people 2 at a time and fly them all out of the city. Zod would have just waited for him. It was the same thing with Doomsay, Superman didn’t have a choice to avoid destruction. There was a leap with Zod throughout the whole movie Zod was the bad guy who he would have to face. You act as if Superman can suddenly save everyone when he can’t. He has to fight Zod because given the chance Zod will kill every living thing on the planet. Just like Doomsday would have. Seriously if you can’t even watch the movie without making an unintelligent complaint that makes no sense then don’t even bother talking.
